Today we celebrated International Dot Day along with many other children around the world. Check out today's photos for an image of the children's collective work! We also tweeted with a few classrooms (one in Texas, two others in Ontario) to see if they were celebrating too.
Shoes were used as the point of comparison in finding similarities and differences. Later, kids began sorting materials with different strategies and subsets (large, small, or medium, shapes of items in the same color). The letter F was introduced with this video (Safeshare link here) and the corresponding Fundations card (F, fun, f):
