There were so many stories from vacation shared during Open Mike today! Also, kids voted to keep Open Mike connected with Snack and eat around 8:30 each morning. Our schedule was starting to cramp up and this will free up more time for the rich oral language shared during Open Mike, along with longer time for Reading Workshop, Read aloud, and small literacy groups later in the morning. We also visited Leafy and spent some time writing stories about vacation experiences too. Check out all the photos and videos here!
