Day 2!

Short Post Fridays! There will be more photographs than text on Fridays, hopefully they will tell the story either way. Here they are! We read Rude Cakes and connected it to the events we observed in the classroom along with the three school rules/values (Safe, Kind, and Responsible).  Before reading the book, a child asked, "Can you tell me the title?" This was a perfect moment to introduce a call ritual for introducing new vocabulary. The list of Big Words is on the board for the year. "Title" is now joined by "author" and "illustrator" thanks to another child's suggestion! Also, check out the puppet show using Puppet Pals, it is modeled after two real events that occurred in the room.
