Day 7

Welcome back after the weekend!  We started outside as usual and during Snack/Open Mic we talked about the sticky properties of burdock seeds. The group went to Art for the first time and upon returning we read The Giant Hug to connect the gesture of kindness the children offered Kyle on Friday. He left a note for us too! Another new routine was introduced today as well, the sign-in sheet. Kids will sign-in upon arrival beginning in the next couple of days. The example is in today's photos!

We continued to track the pattern emerging in the calendar, counted the number of days until the chrysalis hatch (hopefully by the 16th at the latest, they take between 10 and 14 days. We determined this by using Kiddle for research) and practiced our first "Would You Rather" tally (Chocolate or Strawberry Ice Cream. Chocolate won by a landslide, 11-5, with 2 abstentions). Kids painted in anticipation of International Dot Day (announcement to the class will be forthcoming tomorrow), worked on building A/B patterns with the caps you sent in, and continued to sew their square pillows.

Have a great night!
