112

We started celebrating a new global goal (#5- Gender Equality) along with Women's History Month this week. We are reading from the book Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and have started with Kate Sheppard (champion of voting rights in New Zealand), Rosa Parks, and Jane Goodall (connecting to #14- Life on Land and Wilderness Wednesday.

The group is delving back into writing stories, remembering to use capital letters to begin a sentence, finger spaces between words, all their powers to spell and write words (including sight words), another helping of vowel sound reminders, and punctuation.  Stories are following the cadence of a Beginning, Middle, and End. Also, in math, we have been working with 3D (solid) shapes and teen numbers. More photos here!
