Hooray for Day 2!

Little signs created by kids, reminding each other to stop and also know that love is that way <--

The classroom was alive with so much action, kindness, and creativity today. Check out the photo album to learn more. The Buzzy Jar in our classroom was filled and they were added to the school's hive! To celebrate, we had a dance party in the afternoon.

Today's puppet show focused on much of the morning as well. "Open Mike", where adults and kids tell stories or share ideas during snack, was in full effect as five kids volunteered to be on stage. In addition, the group had P.E., we took a virtual trip to Panama to explore an area a child visited this summer (and brought back a stone to share with the class) using Google Earth.

I forgot to mention that we read It's Mine by Leo Lionni (my favorite) yesterday and today we read some of Jon J. Muth's book Zen Shorts to further underscore Safe, Kind, and Responsible work already underway in Kindergarten!

Lastly, we watched this short video about mindfulness and regulating emotions through breathing.

Have a lovely weekend!
