CVC Words, Number Lines, and a Visit from Shaws

We started practicing CVC words (Consonant, Vowel, Consonant) today, beginning with "mat", "map", and "mad". This connected to the newest super power kids have been practicing when reading, "sound power".  We also delved into a different type of number line and we learned about how Shaw's contributes to Zero Hunger, Good Health and Wellbeing, and Responsible Consumption and Production.
