Happy Friday!

The past few days we have been doing more shared reading. Both with our own class and with Mr. Lake’s second grade class. We also learned a new sight word today “up”. In writing workshop we have delved into all about spring animals writing. We started with learning about squirrels and then writing what we learned. As children finished this first part, I have begun introducing an age appropriate research database called PebbleGo. This allows children to more independently research the next spring animal they choose. During this writing unit they will also be collaborating with peers. We have worked more on numeral writing in math, specifically with the teen numbers. In addition, we have switched out the sand in our table for soil! And have a spring mural outline children have been coloring in. All to reflect interests in the room as well as Spring! During our time outside in the morning children have been investigating worms, they are all over the place!

We have been hard at work here in Kindergarten! Here are some photos. Happy Weekend.
