Happy Wilderness Wednesday! The group found name tags for the plants on each table (as voted upon yesterday) when they arrived. We ventured out for most of the day and noticed many slugs, worms, and a monarch butterfly. We also released one of the butterflies from our room after it exited the chrysalis this morning! We hiked up the hill to pick a tree to follow for the rest of the year and children drew it in their science journals. Two snacks outside, a reading of The Giving Tree, and lots of play rounded out the day! Last, but not least, the entire school gathered in the courtyard for a dance party to celebrate filling the school-wide Beehive with Buzzies! More photos here.
