More #cardboardchallenge, rainy tree walk

Despite the rain, kids still managed to make it outside three times today! We started the day outside and then moved into more work with Global Cardboard Challenge projects (with the infusion of some new cardboard too). Kids continued to predict and follow the pattern on this month's calendar, practiced writing numerals with a dice game (this time as a whole group with the Dice app), and sorted and matched leaves (thanks for sending them in!).

We did go out into the trees for a bit, a first test of rain pants. It only lasted about 1/2 hour, but this cool phenomena of water running like faucet down a tree trunk lured the kids in!

We also practiced writing the letter "u", which can be found in today's photos and videos. More work with cardboard projects and this lovely time lapse of the changing seasons wrapped up the day.
